Meet the Team Behind MODS: South Minneapolis Adult Day Care with Heart

At Mount Olivet Day Services (MODS), our staff is committed to the exceptional care we provide. It truly takes a village and we wouldn’t have the magic of our program without it. This article is in appreciation of our team and sharing in their experiences.
Our Dedicated Drivers
MODS is so grateful for the time our drivers, Willie and Ken. They have dedicated themselves as long-time drivers, offering transportation services for our participants. Transportation for seniors and adults with disabilities can be expensive and time-consuming. With the help of Willie and Ken, we are able to provide morning and afternoon transportation to participants living within a five (5) mile radius of our facility.

Trained Program Staff
At Mount Olivet Day Services, our staff to participant ratio is 1:5. We’re fortunate to have such caring and kind Program Assistants, all trained in dementia/memory care and person-centered care. Every day here feels warm and inviting thanks to the amazing program staff here at MODS.
One particular staff member we’d love to highlight is Scott. Scott has worked at MODS for twenty-eight (28) years. In asking him about why he loves working with participants, he shared,
“Getting to know each participant’s story, sharing in their background and families, you form a close connection to everyone.”

Administration Team
Behind all the fun to be had, our administration team ensures admissions, programming, health monitoring, and finances run smoothly. Meet Stephanie, leading staff as the Executive Director at MODS. Next is Alison, the Assistant Director; she coordinates programming and supervises our program staff. Alysha, the Marketing and Admissions Manager, is the face behind our socials (as I’m typing this, hello!). She guides new families through the admissions and enrollment process and executes marketing and social media strategy for MODS. Finally, Desiree is our Health Lead here at MODS, and she strives to provide quality care for participants’ health and medication administration.

Final Thoughts
As we stated, it really does take a village to provide the level of care we do for adults and families. Mount Olivet Day Services is so lucky to have a fantastic, dedicated, skilled team to provide respite for many families in the Twin Cities.
